Personnel development and training
To achieve top performance, we need excellent, self-motivated employees who perform well under pressure. In return, we offer them outstanding career opportunities throughout our business.
More than anything, our company’s future success depends on the quality of its employees and their sense of ownership. For this reason, we place great value on continuous specialist training and personal development programmes for our employees.
As a compact and highly dynamic company, SAM offers an excellent platform for employees keen to take the initiative and help to shape their specialist area, contribute their ideas and grow with their day-to-day challenges. We believe that challenging professional tasks provide the ideal environment for true learning.
Your career development at SAM depends on your personal learning and growth ability, your performance and your own goals. From the start, SAM’s flat hierarchies will allow you to delve into a diverse range of duties with substantial autonomy and responsibility.
Individual professional growth needs are determined on the basis of our assessment and target agreement process. As part of this process, regular discussions about employees’ growth potential are held and the steps necessary to develop this potential are worked out.
Recruitment process
Interested in one of our advertised positions? Then send your written application to our HR Department. This information will help us to determine whether your application fits our candidate profile. If it does, we will invite you to an initial interview.
Your application letter should contain:
- An illuminating letter: Give us an idea about why you are interested in sustainability, in general, and SAM, in particular.
- Your CV with details about your educational/professional background (education/training, internships, professional experience, international assignments, language and computing skills), including a description of your personal interests and activities
- Educational diplomas/vocational certificates
- Letters of recommendation, etc.
The central idea is to give us an overall impression of your personality, your educational and professional background as well as your abilities and accomplishments.
How does the application process work?
The application process generally comprises two to three rounds of interviews. The initial interview conveys an initial impression of your profile to line managers and HR, as well as giving you additional information about the advertised position. Your interview partners will be happy to answer any questions you may have regarding our company or the respective position. If the initial interview is rated positively by both parties, we will invite you to a second round of interviews. A number of subsequent interviews will give you an opportunity to gain a more conclusive impression of the advertised position and get to know SAM and its employees better. Depending on the advertised position, this round of interviews will also involve a case-study assessment. Candidates will be given feedback on their performance within a few days of the interview(s).
The aim of this application process is to familiarise you with the job profile and work environment, and allow you to ask questions and exchange experiences with SAM employees. At the same time, we need to form an impression of your professional qualifications and personality.
