Internships
We offer university students a six-month internship in our Research Department.
How is the internship structured?
The intern will be part of a team of about 20 analysts. He/she will work across several sectors. The intern will work in our headquarters, located in Zurich, Switzerland.
Your key duties will be to:
- Collect, review and cross-check sustainability data based on publicly available information
- Perform corporate sustainability analyses across sectors (e.g., telecom, retail)
- Assist in project-related work, e.g., empirical analyses of sustainability data
- Write short industry overviews and company updates
- Meet companies in order to get an understanding of the fundamentals and specifics of the sector and companies
- Work in direct collaboration with the Research and Portfolio Management team.
What is required of you?
- A university degree or an approaching completion date for your studies
- A strong interest in the stock market
- An interest in sustainable development and its relation to business and the markets
- Analytical strength
- An excellent level of English
- Broad experience of Excel
How do I apply for an internship?

- An illuminating letter: Give us an idea about why you are interested in sustainability, in general, and SAM, in particular.
- Your CV with details about your educational/professional background (education/training, internships, professional experience, international assignments, language and computing skills), including a description of personal interests and activities
- Letters of recommendation, internship certificates, educational diplomas (if applicable)
Internships from January - June: application deadline end of October of the previous year
Internships from July – December: application deadline end of April of the current year
Please contact our HR Department if these periods are unsuitable for you. Please note, however, that all internships last six months and cannot be shortened.
