Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes Family
The family of Dow
Jones Sustainability Indexes encompasses a series of global
and European indexes. Both series consist of one composite and
several specialised sustainability indexes.
The Dow Jones Sustainability World Indexes:
The Dow Jones Sustainability World Indexes
(DJSI World) track the performance of the global
sustainability leaders. The top 10% of the 2,500
largest companies in the Dow Jones Global Indexes
are selected as components of DJSI World. This
global benchmark is also available exclusive of
tobacco, alcohol, gambling, armaments and/or firearms:

The Dow Jones STOXX Sustainability Indexes:
The Dow Jones STOXX Sustainability Indexes
(DJSI STOXX) track the European sustainability
leaders. The best 20% in the Dow Jones STOXXSM
600 Index are selected as components of DJSI STOXX.
A regional index calculated from this benchmark
is also available for the sustainability leaders
in the Eurozone. Both indexes are also available
exclusive of tobacco, alcohol, gambling, armaments
and firearms.

Both series of DJSI Indexes are calculated as price and total
return indexes in euro and US dollars, making a total of 40 indexes.
All the DJSI Indexes can be converted into any other currency
on request. The weightings of the individual shares are based
on the market capitalisation of their free float. The value of
DJSI World in US dollars and the euro value of DJSI STOXX, DJSI
EURO STOXX, DJSI STOXX ex All and DJSI EURO STOXX are calculated
and published in real time. The values of the other indexes are
calculated and published at the end of each trading day.
