On November 24, 2010, Investment Week awarded the title “Best Climate Change Fund” to the SAM Sustainable Climate Fund. The award was presented at this year’s "Climate Change Awards" ceremony in London. SAM was honored for its dedication to the fight against global warming and for its expertise in the area of sustainability. Please click here for more information on the award.

On October 13, 2010, SAM was named SRI/Sustainable Investment Manager of the Year by Financial News. The annual "Awards for Excellence in Institutional Asset Management" were held in London, where SAM was presented with this honor. This award serves as a confirmation of our dedication to the field of Sustainability Investing. According to Financial News, the awards aim to provide the definitive and authoritative industry view of the performance and strategy of the main players in the Euro-pean institutional asset management industry.

Two SAM funds garnered the top spot in the "Finanztest" survey (issue 05/2010) of sustainable funds. The SAM Smart Energy and the SAM Sustainable Water achieved first place among theme funds in the areas of renewable energies and water, respectively, in the ranking published by the magazine of Germany’s Stiftung Warentest consumer association. Aside from performance over one and five years, the assessment also considered the funds‘ selection criteria. The SAM Smart Energy and the SAM Sustainable Water returned 9.2% and 4.4%, respectively, over five years and as much as 85.5% and 46.5%, respectively, over one year.

The news portal ECOreporter.de, which focuses on sustainable investments, has named a SAM Fund “Fund of the Year 2009.”

The SAM Smart Energy Fund and the SAM Sustainable Climate Fund received the Fund Award 2010 for Germany’s best funds from financial magazines €uro, €uro-fondsxpress and €uro am Sonntag. The €uro Fund Award recognizes those mutual funds in 59 categories that have performed best over one, three and five years.

In November 2009, for the second consecutive year, SAM was named "Best Asset Manager Investing in ESG" by IPE-TBLI Group ESG Leaders Awards. The awards are designed to honor select companies’ "performance, transparency and innovation within the ESG (enviromnemtal, social, and corporate governance) sector."."SAM's achievements are destined to become enshrined in ESG best practice and the way the UN PRI singles it out time after time reinforces this point," the IPE-TBLI Group noted, adding that "SAM has continued to reinforce its role as a thought leader and innovator."
